A lively Malayalam dark-comedy thriller sequel that leans into escalating chaos, family secrecy, and sharp situational humor. It sounds especially rewarding if you like crime-coverup stories that stay playful even as the stakes rise.
Best for
fans of dark comedy with crime elements
viewers who enjoy family-centered ensemble storytelling
people who like regional Indian cinema with rooted humor
audiences open to a genre shift from comedy into thriller territory
fans of fast-moving, high-energy cover-up plots
Skip if
you want strict realism and airtight plotting
you dislike broad or highly situational comedy
you prefer thrillers that stay tense rather than playful
you are not in the mood for a sequel that builds on prior character dynamics
Overview
This sequel appears to take a familiar family-comedy setup and push it into much darker, messier territory without losing its comic footing. The appeal is in the tonal balancing act: a cover-up plot that keeps spiraling, but with enough warmth and local texture that the chaos feels character-driven rather than mechanical.
Worth noting
The strongest signal here is the audience response to the film’s confidence. Viewers seem to love the way it escalates from mild humor into full dark comedy, with the family dynamics and village setting giving the story a grounded center even when the plot gets increasingly absurd.
Bottom line
It may not satisfy anyone looking for strict logic or a tightly realistic thriller. But if you enjoy movies that turn panic into comedy and let an ensemble of familiar faces carry the momentum, this looks like a very entertaining ride.

Sasidharan Nair and family have huge potential considering that making different movies out of their ventures can definitely lead to a good franchise atp. It's a rare case that a fun-filled dark comedy movie that includes more than one lead together in the form of a family becomes this entertaining, and if things are going good box office wise, the makers should definitely go for sequels.

A bolder, funnier and more eventful sequel, that surprisingly takes the family drama template and gives it a dark humor twist this time around without losing its rooted humor n warmth. The situational and family-village dynamics work even better. The cast once again shines comfortably in their roles. Though slightly overlong in parts, the confident genre shift and lively screenplay keep it entertaining throughout. (3.75/5)
