The Stoning of Soraya M. is designed to wound. Worth noting
What gives the film its force is the contrast between the quiet village setting and the barbarity of what unfolds there. The framing device, with Zahra recounting Soraya’s fate, adds a layer of witness and memory that keeps the story from feeling merely sensational. Still, the film’s bluntness can feel manipulative at times, especially when it pushes so hard for outrage.

I really should write this tomorrow.I really should count to 10 first.I have never ever been so angry after watching a film. Ever.So maybe I owe it to the makers of this film to give them an honest appraisal from one member of their audience.
This is the most abominable way to tell a tragic story. I have never encountered any film that does such an injustice to its topic. Ever.

أنا في الحقيقية عاجز عن الكلام حالياً، ولكن سأحاول أن أشارككم ولو قليلاً عن بعض من انطباعاتي الأولية عن هذا الفيلم.
من الصعب جدا أن تكتب عن هذا الفيلم وانت تدرك انه قائم على قصة حقيقية. أعتقد إن الموضوع كله واضح من أسمه "رجم ثريا". فيلم مزعج للغاية وصادم، سيدمرك عاطفيا، وسوف يمزقك بكل ما تحمله الكلمة من معنى.
